Full rim reading glasses are the ideal solution to a 'refractive error' called presbyopia. A symptom of presbyopia is a tiring of the eyes when carrying out tasks like reading and close work. The outcome of refractive errors of the eye are also recognisable as a loss of focus, which, if uncorrected, can lead to aching eyes and even headaches . Presbyopia is due to the fact that the lens of the eyes becomes less flexible as we age and the lens muscles cannot change the shape of the lens as readily to allow focusing on near objects.

The remedy to presbyopia is corrective glasses and we have a range of full rimmed readers that come in lens powers from +1.0 to +4.0 dioptre. Some of full rim readers on this page have arms that are spring-loaded.

The lenses are removable so it is possible to reglaze these glasses with precription lenses.
